A Peak into 2009

I am so excited about the trips and goals we have planned for this year. The Lord has blessed us with the ability, funds, help, etc. to make some very exciting plans.

In March, over Spring Break, Blake, Evie and I are driving to Colorado for my Uncle Keith's wedding. I am thankful that we will be there to support Keith and Lisa. While there we will be staying with my dad's parents. I can't wait to spend some time with them and the rest of my mom's family at the wedding. After the 'quick' trip to Colorado, we'll be driving straight to Safford, AZ where my parents just bought a house. We'll spend the rest of Spring Break there. I'm excited to see how they have set up their house.

In May, right after I finish this semester at NAU, Blake, Evie and I are going to be flying with Blake's mom and brother to Connecticut. Evie has not had the chance to meet MeMaw, Blake's grandmother, so we are very grateful and excited we have this opportunity. We'll be there for almost a week, also taking the chance to 'vacation' a little. :)

In July, Evie and I are flying out to California to spend a week with my sister. I've been hoping to get out there with Evie for quite awhile and I'm very excited that it's actually happening. Evie turns two-years-old in September, so I wanted to take advantage of her flying for free. I decided to use my birthday money for a plane ticket, instead of spending it on something I don't need anyway. Blake will have to stay home and work this time, but I'm happy to be able to get some 'sister time'.

At the moment, I am registered to take a couple of summer classes, (Psychology and another Biology with lab) still working towards finishing up my nursing program prerequisites. Depending on our decision for me to put my nursing education on hold, I might even have more free time to travel to Phoenix and Safford more often. We'll just have to wait and see. I'm very thankful that we are able to do some traveling, especially given the current economic situation.

Another couple of goals I have for this year are:
• training for the PF Chang's Rock-n-Roll Marathon
• becoming debt-free - paying off the rest of our car debt
• spending a great deal of time and effort on my relationship with the Lord
• supporting Blake as he pursues his Certificate in Biblical Studies
• enjoying my time at home with Evie and working at being a 'virtuous woman'
