7:00: Daddy woke up after getting only two hours of sleep so that he could spend an hour with us celebrating Christmas. I had an espresso prepared for him as he crawled out of bed. Jackson was finally able to keep down a little medicine, but no water.
7:15: Daddy read the Christmas Story to the family. The kids emptied their stockings and opened their presents (Jackson throwing up in-between opening his) but still managed to take pictures and have smile on his face.
8:30: The kids and I drove Blake to work and Jackson threw up in his car seat as we left the airport. Bath time!
9:00-1:00: Played with new toys, watched movies and cartoons, Jackson took a nap, and we called family to say hello on Christmas.
1:00-3:30: Kids baked a birthday cake for Jesus, Mommy made mashed potatoes, and cooked Christmas meal.
3:30: Daddy got off work two hours early!!! We drove to pick him up, finished making Christmas meal and ate, then drove around Phoenix looking at Christmas lights.
Even though our Christmas was not as 'normal' as usual, we had a great day and made the most of it by celebrating, contemplating, and enjoying the day that brought our Savior into this world so that He could one day die to save us from our sin. Thank you, Jesus!
