After seeing my sister's pillows that she covered with new fabric, I realized that's exactly what was missing in our living room. We have two large pillows covered in plain tan fabric. I've never really cared much for the pillows, but I love having big fluffy pillows to curl up with in our living room. As you can see from the first picture, the colors of the pillows aren't even the same shade of tan. I saw this as something we MUST change, especially after seeing how beautiful Kristin's re-covered pillows had turned out! So, Blake and I found a couple of patterns that we thought fit us and our living room and I set out to cover our old pillows. I did the sewing by hand since we don't have a sewing machine, but like my sister told me, it really wasn't that difficult or time-consuming to grab a needle and thread and do it myself.
