Doctors, Doctors, Doctors

This is the week of doctor appointments. Ugh. I had my glucose screening on Monday and I'll have my results back by this coming Monday to see if I have gestational diabetes. I was one point away from having it when I was pregnant with Evie, and I've eaten much worse this pregnancy. So, I'm really interested to see if I'll be given my doctor's order to cut back on the sugar. Yesterday I had my annual eye exam and my eyes are only a little worse than they were last exam. I knew they were and am pretty sure it's related to being pregnant, since my eyes were worse when I was pregnant with Evie, also. Today, I had my gallbladder ultrasound and everything looked normal from the ultrasound techs perspective. I'll have clearer results by Monday. I do know that eating healthier, less fatty foods has helped the pain be much less severe. I'm hoping that cutting out most unhealthy food will keep the pain at a minimum until Jack is born. I'm at 27 weeks 5 days right now, so that leaves a little over 12 weeks left! Other than the back pain I experience while pregnant and the gallbladder pain, I'm feeling pretty good. I don't have tons of energy and I'm still hungry ALL the time, but I'm just figuring that Jack will probably be a very strong and healthy baby. I feel as if he's twice the size Evie was! :)

Evie broke out in hives a couple of days ago and we've been trying to figure out what she might have an allergy to. It could literally be ANYTHING. She had a fever and shivers along with the hives the other night, but now she just breaks out in hives all over her body when she gets upset. We have a dermatologist appointment for her this afternoon, so we're really hoping they'll be able to help us figure out what's causing her reaction. So far, the aloevera and children's benadryl have helped tremendously. She's been terribly itchy, but has been sleeping much more than she regularly does, probably due to the benadryl.

I have my bi-monthly dr. appt. this coming Monday with Jack's and my dr. We're on a bi-monthly dr. appt. schedule for the next two months, then we'll go to a weekly appt. schedule. I can't believe we're already this far along in the pregnancy. I'm thankful. :)
