Autumn is Here

Yup, autumn is here and winter is just around the corner! I was eager to turn the heater on and I'm glad I did because we hit 22 degrees last night.

Evie Grace - 10.01.09

We decided to take a drive up to Snowbowl (Mt. Humphreys) to see how many aspen's leaves have changed color. It was really refreshing to get up there and hike around before it gets too cold. Evie loves to hike, run and play in the dirt. Rocks and pine cones are her current favorite treasures. She really makes our lives so much fun!

Evie and Blake - 10.01.09

Blake's grandmother, MeMaw, passed away two days ago. MeMaw is the one we visited in Connecticut back in May. We are very thankful that we were able to take Evie up there to meet her MeMaw. MeMaw was one our biggest supporters over the past several years and we will miss her very much.

Evie and I are driving down to Phoenix this Sunday to stay with Blake's brother, Jake, while Blake's dad flies out to Connecticut to be with Blake's mom. They are planning to have a small graveside service for MeMaw and then drive back to Phoenix with some of MeMaw's possessions. Blake has to stay here and work, so I'll just go down for a week to be around for Jake if he needs anything. Blake will be coming down next Friday and stay until Sunday. Blake and I are going to the David Crowder Band concert Friday night, so I have something to look forward to. I'm also looking forward to being home for awhile after this trip, hopefully. For now, I'm thankful I am available to go where I need to go...
...headed to warmer weather.
