Catching Up

Oh goodness!

It is so difficult to sit down and try to bring forth all important memories from the past several months. I fell behind with this blog. The more time I allowed to slip by, the more difficult and overwhelming it became to sit down and update our lives. And now, as I skim over my last post, I realize it has been even longer than I thought...

MUCH has happened in these past quick three months. So, instead of regurgitating in elaborate detail all our 'happenings' I will make a list of those most impacting. Maybe in the future, I will expand on the details.

1. Jackson is now a few days from being 7 months old. He was dedicated at church this past weekend and our church family prayed over him and encouraged us greatly. Jackson's fantastic!

2. Evie has begun 'preschool' at home with me. She is currently learning patterns and loves having a little more structure in our day.

3. Our family has become much more involved with our church. We have also joined a House Church (a group of around 25 from our church). We have met many people and the fellowship has been wonderful. I am going to start meeting with several of the other ladies (mainly college students) for a more in-depth study of the bible and accountability.

4. Blake is well into his second semester at seminary. It keeps him very busy, spending lots of time in the library and reading loads of books. He's enjoying classes and is currently waiting for more direction from the Lord what His ultimate plan is for Blake and school.

5. We have canceled our internet at home, for the time being, to cut out some costs. We also got rid of one of our cell phones, as it's contract was up this month. Our vehicle is currently out of commission while we continue to figure out whether we will fix issues we can't really afford or sell it and learn to live without a personal vehicle and depend much more heavily on public transportation. Either way, we feel an overwhelming presence of God as we strive to follow His will for everything in our lives. He is teaching us contentment in every situation and we are grateful. He has and will continue to meet all of our needs.

6. We are in the very beginning stages of working towards long-term missions. We both have felt called to ministry, specifically missions, for several years. And now God is opening doors quickly, leading us towards somewhere. We have begun to meet with several pastors in our church and they are advising us on the steps we need to be taking as we prepare for where ever the Lord is directing us. Our hearts are being drawn towards the sex slave trade issues, specifically.

That about sums up the 'major'. Prayer concerning seminary decisions, our vehicle, and missions is GREATLY appreciated. We hope all of you are doing well.

❤, Heather
