Jackson at 4 months+

Tummy Time

Jackson had his four-month checkup yesterday. He hasn't seen a doctor as often as Evie did, so we have been very curious to know his weight, etc. He is now at 16.5 lbs and 25 inches long, which puts him in the 75% for his age group. He did amazing with his vaccinations and gave the doctors plenty of smiles. Jackson is a very happy baby! We started him on solid foods a few weeks ago and so far, his favorite food is avocado. His hair is growing back, after losing most of it. It's a strawberry-blond color. He loves bath time, his diaper cloths that we use as burp rags, and his rattle that he can now shake himself. We are in the process of weaning him off his swaddle blanket. He fights to get his arms free, which wakes him up. So, after several nights of very little sleep, we have decided to do away with swaddling. Other big news, Jackson is about to get his FIRST tooth! He's been slobbering and chewing on everything and I felt and saw a front bottom tooth about to pop through anytime. I'm praying it doesn't cause him too much pain, but he seems pretty content for now. So, that's our Jackson. He is such a calm and joyful baby and we're enjoying watching him learn and grow.
