We Flagstaffians have been dealing with horrible fires the past few days. The first one (Hardy Fire) didn't get too out of control, but a couple hundred people were evacuated from their homes due to the fire being so close to town. As soon as the fire officials got that fire mostly under control, a new one (Shultz Fire) began Sunday morning and has already claimed 8,800 acres of our forest. Around 750 homes have been evacuated and the fire remains at 0% containment, with extreme wind conditions continuing.
