30

Yep, I'm there! Thirty whole years completed with hopefully another thirty, at least, to come. I enjoyed celebrating my birthday by getting a little break as the kids went to Safford to visit Grammy and Papa for a couple of days. Blake had his days off while they were away, so we visited some new-to-us restaurants and coffee houses. We enjoyed going to the movie theatre - it's been a LONG time! And we spent some nice quiet downtime at home watching some shows we've been waiting to see. It was a very quick couple of days, but SO needed, and the kids loved their time with Grammy and Papa! We picked up the kids from my parents (and ate some yummy Mexican food, too!) the day before my birthday so that they could help me celebrate. Evie planned some fun surprises including jewelry she had made me, getting dressed up, going out for sushi for lunch, playing UNO, and blowing out a candle on a cupcake. She had so much fun getting everything ready for my birthday, which made it all extra special! Blake got me my immersion hand blender I've been wanting, I received a few cards and gifts, and I was sung 'Happy Birthday' by a couple of special people on the phone. :) I had a great week celebrating a big one! I assumed that I would feel 'old' by the time I hit thirty years old, but that's so far from the truth. I may have crossed off some major goals before hitting thirty, but I feel like I have so much to look forward to! I'm thankful for the years God has given me and I can't wait to see what He does with the rest of the years He gives me.

And Happy Birthday to my Aunt Keri, my Grampa Gott, and Mimi (Blake's grandmother) who are celebrating, too!!!
