Half-Way There!

Although I have no new photos of our little one on the way, I realized that it's been a couple of months since I posted an update. I am now over 20 weeks along and baby BOY is doing well! I am finding it difficult to move around as easily, especially when sleeping, but thankfully sleeping surrounded with pillows on my sides has been working (also thankful we have a king-sized bed!). I was finally able to see my doctor again last week. I hadn't seen her since September at our first appointment due to her own health issues, so it was great to see her again. Baby boy (AKA Duke) is doing well, still measuring about a week ahead, growth-wise, and kicking like crazy with a fast heartbeat. :) All of my ultrasound screenings came back normal and my blood-work showed that we're both as healthy as can be! Besides my normal sciatica causing me to move slowly and gently, I'm feeling pretty great these days. I'm pretty good at getting my required 10-12 glasses of water a day, but Braxton Hicks began around 17 weeks and continue to creep up on me several times a day even when hydrated. Doctor guesses that's just the way my body does pregnancy, since each one has included Braxton Hicks so early on in the pregnancy without leading to preterm labor. I'm thankful that it's nothing serious, but the several contractions throughout the day every day does get old pretty fast. ;) It's crazy to think that we are already half-way through this pregnancy and so close to adding another little one to our bunch. Although the kids are SUPER excited to meet Duke, I'm glad I have another 20 or so weeks before he joins us. We have LOTS to do before he's here!
