Our Resurrection Rolls

A previous post gave the recipe and how-to's to make Resurrection Rolls in remembrance of our Savior's death and resurrection. These are our pictures chronicling our own Resurrection Rolls that we made with Auntie Kris and Uncle Jason.

Step 1:  Take the marshmallow (symbolizing the body of Christ) and to dip it in the melted butter which is a symbol for the oil. (John 12:2-8)

 Jackson's turn

Step 2:  To symbolize the spices that were put on the body of Jesus to prepare for burial, roll the marshmallow in the cinnamon and sugar mixture. (John 19:39-40)

again... and taking a taste because he just can't help it :)

Step 3:  Take the crescent rolls out of the package and separate them into 8 triangles. Wrap the marshmallow inside the crescent roll and tightly seal the edges. This serves to remind us of Matthew 27:59.

and again

Step 4:  Put each Resurrection Roll on a cookie sheet and put them in the oven set to 375 degrees. (Mark 15:46)

Step 5:  Bake them for 13 minutes (will do less next time, these were a little brown) and then put them on a plate to cool. Of course, the marshmallow will melt and the "tomb is empty!" (Matthew 28:5-6)

Christ is Risen!
